What this is for
If you make a physical product, most units need a plate or label fixed to them. It carries things like the model, a serial number, electrical ratings, the maker's name, and any marks the product needs before it can be sold.
A new product is the hard case. There is no old plate to copy, the supplier will not tell you what is missing, and the ship date does not move.
What it should carry
A checklist for your product, in plain words, written so a person can walk the line and tick it off.

We compare the checklist with the plate you send us, and list the gaps.
What only you can answer
Some things we cannot know from outside. Those are listed separately, never guessed.
Which rules apply depends on your product
There is no single nameplate rule. A medical device, a radio, and an electrical control panel are each covered by different rules, written by different bodies. Part of the job is working out which ones apply to what you are shipping.
What we do not do
- We are not a testing house, a certification body, or a law firm.
- We do not approve or certify anything. Nobody can hand you compliance on paper.
- We read the rules and your plate, and we show you the gaps in plain words.
